About Mario Iveljic

I think there are three things that are important to know about me.

One, I enjoy solving problems. Whether it is what law might apply to a particular case, how a contract provision is meant to apply to a specific situation, or how the heck they teach math to children nowadays, I want to be the one that figures it out. It might take me some time and a bit of research, but trust that in the end, I will figure it out.

Two, I am a bit competitive. Sometimes maybe a bit too competitive. I like to win, but I hate to lose even more. I don’t like losing a case, just as I don’t like using a game of Uno to my children or seeing one of them lose in one of the travel sports games. Losing bugs me, it really does, and of course I haven’t won them all. But I sure tried my best to win.

Three, I’ll go the extra mile to get things done. It may be driving out to see a client an hour away just to pick up a document because it’s easier on them (and not charging them for it). It may be spending extra time in the gym or running around town, literally, to prepare for a game or upcoming sports season – or training with my children to help them with their season. It may be taking a phone call after hours, when I probably shouldn’t, knowing that I have a client who desperately needs to talk and they have nobody else to talk to.

I think it was no coincidence at all that someone like me – who was born to immigrant parents from the south side of Chicago who spoke English as their second language – managed to win several state championships in soccer and baseball; win multiple national championships in soccer; become the high school Valedictorian in a class of about 600 students; graduate from Yale University with a degree in Economics while also being a 3-year starter on the varsity soccer team; obtain a law degree, with Honors, while still playing semi-professional soccer on the side; represent multiple Fortune 500 companies, international automakers, sports clubs and associations, restaurants, stores, local business and individual clients; and form Mag Mile Law with my Law Partners.

It wasn’t a coincidence that someone like me has been able to expand his work to helping out others as a risk manager with Power Risk Management Services, LLC (an insurance agency with offices located in Chicagoland and Denver, CO) and as a soccer agent licensed by FIFA. It wasn’t a coincidence because of how I approach life in general – by solving problems, trying to always be the best, and going the extra mile.

And that is what I do for all of my clients at Mag Mile Law – I try to solve their problems. I give them my best effort. I go the extra mile for them. I apply what I have learned over the past 20 years as a litigation and transactional attorney that has handled cases all across the country to find a path of victory for my clients. Victories in the legal world come in all shapes and sizes, and I am grateful that those who I have worked with that has appreciated my efforts in representing them in their time of need. Although I have been named a “rising star” and one of the “top young attorneys in Illinois” on multiple occasions, I take more pride in knowing that past clients of mine have called me the “real deal,” that working with me was “as easy as it gets,” and that they would work with me again “in a heartbeat.”

I am glad that I was the attorney that they swore by, and not at.
