Steven’s professional focus is the world of property and casualty insurance. As a partner at Mag Mile Law, Steven represents the interests of policyholders against insurance carriers in actions involving bad faith claims handling practices or wrongful denial of claims. He has represented policyholders in claims involving damage caused by fire, explosion, vandalism, theft, hail, windstorm, water damage, the weight of snow and ice and building collapse. He also represents insureds in claims involving a carrier’s failure to defend or indemnify an insured in third-party liability claims.
Steven is a trial lawyer. He tried his first jury trial as a first-year associate at a prominent civil defense firm and continues to try cases, securing multi-million dollar verdicts for his clients.
In addition to his work as an insurance coverage lawyer, Steven is the principal of Power Risk Management Services, LLC; an insurance agency with offices in Chicagoland and Denver, CO. As an agency owner, Steven interacts with underwriters, claims adjusters, management and executive teams of insurance carriers daily. The agency is recognized particularly for its work with the restaurant and tavern, multifamily and commercial real estate industries. Power Risk Management was most recently named a Best Practices Agency in 2025 — one of 11 in the State of Illinois.
