Mario approaches every matter with the same core principles that have defined his professional and personal journey: problem-solving, competitiveness, and relentless effort. Whether navigating complex litigation, identifying opportunities in contract negotiations, or advising on insurance issues, Mario is relentless in pursuing the best outcome for his clients and will go the extra mile — even if that means taking calls after hours or meeting clients wherever necessary.
Before beginning his legal career, Mario excelled both academically and athletically. A graduate of Yale University, he earned his degree in Economics while serving as a three-year starter on the varsity soccer team, eventually continuing to play at the semi-professional level. He later earned his J.D., with honors, from Chicago-Kent College of Law while still competing on the soccer field.
Mario has parlayed his lifelong passion for sport into a career as a licensed soccer agent and sports intermediary, registered with the U.S. Soccer Federation, the England Football Association and FIFA. In this role, he represents professional soccer players on and off the field — advising on contracts, negotiations, endorsements, and career strategy. Working with athletes directly, Mario leverages his deep understanding of the industry and his expansive domestic and international network to help clients maximize their earning potential and prepare for life after sport.
This combination of legal acumen, competitive drive, and sports management expertise allows Mario to offer clients rare depth and versatility — whether in the courtroom, at the negotiating table, or guiding professional athletes through pivotal career decisions.
Over the years, Mario has earned recognition including Chicago Magazine’s “Outstanding Young Lawyers” and “Rising Star” designations. Yet what he values most are the clients who describe working with him as “as easy as it gets” and would do so again “in a heartbeat.
